Join members of the Shoreline Amateur Astronomical Association on Saturday, September 17 for a one hour indoor program called an Introduction to Astronomy: Planets and the Solar System at 7:30 p.m. at the Nature Education Center. During this program, you will take a tour of the universe beginning with our own solar system, discover the phenomena we can see as we ride along on the Earth, learn the latest information about other planets in our solar system, and learn about the structure of our galaxy. This program will be held rain or shine.
Following the program, there will be a two-hour outdoor viewing session (weather permitting). For the outdoor viewing, telescopes will be provided, or you may bring your own. Bring a lawn chair and binoculars (if you have them). There are no fees and advanced registration is not required. The program and viewing are for adults and older children.
